When Georges River Sailing Club at Dolls Point needed to renew sails for their 'Tackers' program, Whitworths Taren Point stepped in with a donation of new, free sails.
The heart of our club is our volunteers. All ages, sailors or not, our volunteers keep things running on an 'even keel'. Learn to Sail, Club Racing, Regattas, and day to day maintenance, our volunteers always put their hands up.
Overall podium winners for the various rig sizes ended with a clean sweep for the Georges River Sailing Club, with Cameron Shaw winning the 9ms, Gary Ratcliffe the 7ms and Diane Vukelic the 5ms, sharing points with Robyn Ratcliffe.
7 GRSC Laser sailors joined 66 Laser Masters and competed in the State Masters at Lake Jindabyne Sailing Club over the weekend 8-9 February. We were also joined by our very own Commodore Andrew McLachlan who was the outstanding PRO.
Daniel Costandi, Youth Laser Radial Sailor will be part of a team of 13 sailors representing their country at the upcoming Youth Laser Radial Worlds in Kingston Canada.
